So, about two months ago, I provided the very very silly over arching metaphor for this NH Public Radio program about CCS. Here is the assignment I was doing that the metaphor was from, an octopus in historical My Fair Lady Gear. Serving up some Cthulhu realness, is it not?

Warning: I do laugh when I’m nervous and I was quite nervous.

Short visual poem about going to sleep that I did for my mini-thesis. I’ve been meaning to print out more copies while I’m at home. Send a message if you want one! (And yes, some of you, I know, are still waiting).

So I’m really not great at drawing dudes, so I’ve been practicing this summer. These are not that great, but uh, whatever. They were drawn from reference, but they look so unlike them that I thought I’d just leave you guessing. Oh, I’ve also been experimenting with brush pen!

Here’s a preview of my minithesis which I’ve been working on for like, a month and the reason why I’ve been more absent from your lives than usual.
It will be debuting at MoCCA this year. Buy one from me there or send me a message if you’d like one (for money or a trade.. I haven’t decided how much yet. Depends on the amount of tears I have while trying to finish it).

Second finished children’s book spread. Apologies for my janky Korean spelling. Oh yeah, so basically the premise of the book is that girl gets these glasses and can see all over the world and stuff.

For an assignment, we had to do finished spreads for a children’s picture book. Mine was about a girl who didn’t want to get glasses.

I had to do 12 pages for an anthology called [SCI]ense on science fiction + the five senses. This is the first page.
And yeah, that city scape is a wobbly lightboxing of a famous photograph of Pyongyang ahpleasedontsueme.
P.S. I had taste! It was sort of fun, though lots of really hard work.

For our class in publication, we had to do a whole comic “remixing” the pages of an old comic. Erm, whoever owns the Miss Peach Estate, you know what would be really cool? If you like, didn’t sue me. Thanks.

Also, drugs are bad, kids.

Also, also, I don’t know what went on with the black on the cover. Uh, I guess that’s why I’m in school.

So I drew this eight page comic. Our assignment was to reinterpret one of Aesop’s Fables. I picked the tale of The Beasts, The Birds, and The Bat (could totally be getting the order wrong). This is the cover. This is also the only comic about racial identity I will ever do. HINT: There’s mermaids.

So we had to do a project where we picked out three random words or images from a book. Here were my words: death, sprawling, and a painting by the Filipino artist, Jose Corazon de Jesus called “Ang Pagbabalik.”

It needs a little touching up, in my opinion, but I guess this is my entry into the “adorifying” genre that has been going around lately.

About:

I am not a square.

This is a one-panel (maybe more) comic cartoon of sorts. About this. Ask me things.
